The Doula, RN
My name is Kerry and I am honored to have you here.  Before I became a Registered Nurse, I was a doula and before I was a doula, I became a mother. Each of these life choices encouraged growth through a variety of pathways including therapeutic touch, yoga, women’s circles and mindful practices. The journey to becoming my truest and most whole self continues today and I would like to walk beside you on your journey.
Client Testimonials
Holistic Life Coaching
Working with Kerry was refreshing as she was easy talk to and connect with. I loved the flexibility of our meetings (in person or virtual) and she worked around my schedule which was fantastic.
I have gained tools to help me stay on track and hold myself accountable (journaling, exercise, and meditation). I really learned that I was holding onto an unrealistic ideal of what I thought I needed to be as a successful mother and wife. I would highly recommend Kerry’s coaching to anyone who is feeling overwhelmed and needs to slow things down to get to the
heart of the issue. It was a wonderful experience.

I gained a daily practice of reflection, movement and meditative space where I can continue to discover new ways to support my journey. Starting slowly, learning to give myself grace for where I am, and shifting thoughts about many of my self imposed "shoulds" have been big personal breakthroughs. When I write this it seems quite simple, but applied collectively throughout the day has shown to be immensely helpful for me. Through working with Kerry I discovered (again) how much I am longing to be in community with other women who enjoy similar practices. Following these threads of interest led me to Kerry and I believe will lead me to the next steps along my journey of discovery.

I was completely lost and exhausted during my 1st trimester of pregnancy and after having a miscarriage several months ago. [...] The very first coaching session already showed me that it was
OK to be and feel like I felt in this period and gave me tools that helped me to cope with the situation.
Using these tools and making it a habit allowed me to overcome my problems (such as anxiety, fear,
overthinking, overreacting etc.) [...] I learned how to deal with all new emotions and feelings related to pregnancy and my changing body.
Using the tools Kerry provided me (journaling, meditation, exercise, self-appreciation) helped me to stay
calm, less anxious, sleep better and get rid of overthinking.

I’d recommend Kerry’s coaching to pretty much anyone, but especially to women who might be feeling small, stuck, anxious, or somehow hindered in the lives they’ve created. Kerry’s very nature opens up space for women to envision more for themselves. To start, she provides a beautiful example of a woman on her own path–seeking her purpose and embracing a life that feels authentic and true while fulfilling the many other roles in her life. With her clients, Kerry is so accepting, genuine and open to emotions–good and bad–that it’s hard not to feel that same sense of spaciousness–of possibility–for yourself in her presence. Kerry exudes peace, authenticity, soulfulness, and acceptance. With her
support, no goal seems unattainable.

Why would I want a nurse to be my doula?
I was trained to be a doula several years before I was licensed to be a nurse. In my doula training I learned valuable skills in supporting the laboring person and her partner. Being a labor nurse has only reinforced and enhanced those skills.
